Animals are my passion! I have owned pets of one species or another for over 35 years. While most of them have been dogs, I have also had cats, birds, horses, fish, gerbils, and salamanders. My current personal pets include a mixed breed puppy, 6 cats - one who is 20 years old, a quarterhorse, and a multitude of fish. I am also a "grandmother" to a 100-pound Coonhound mix.
I received my degree in Veterinary Technology at Tomball College in 2004, and became a Registered Veterinary Technician shortly after that. I am a member of Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Pet Sitters, International.
I have been involved with animal rescue for 16+ years. I began fostering cats and kittens at the Humane Society in Austin in 1990, and continued fostering kittens and puppies when I moved to Houston. I have spent time working with Special Pals (Katy), Element of Mercy (Tomball), Abandoned Animal Rescue (Tomball), Oscar Fund (Cypress), and Noah's Ark (Cypress).
I recently became certified by Pet Tech as a Pet FIrst Aid and Safety Instructor.
